"Tropical Storm Nesat"

        At 2100 UTC, typhoon “Nesat” was downgraded to tropical storm over the Tokin’s Bay at latitude 20.0 °N, longitude 110.0 °E, maximum sustained wind about 100 km/hr. It was moving west-northwest about 18 km/hr. It is expected to make landfall over the northern, Vietnam today (Sep, 30).       The active southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Isolated heavy rain remains over the east and the south west-coast especially in Nakhon Nayok, Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, Phang-nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. People along foothills, near waterways and in lowland are warned of possible flash flood. The strong wind-waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are expected 2-4 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore.
